Definition: a decision by a corporation to turn over much of the responsibility for production to independent suppliers (a company giving more authority to anpther provider)

Significance: Sometimes doing this helps to save more money than to make a product within the corporation.

Fordist Production : form of mass production in which beach worker is assigned one specific task to perform repeatedly .

Significant because the Ford Motor company was one of the first to organize its production .

Definition: a fabric made by weaving, used in making clothing.

Significance: textile is important to Human Geography because without it we would have no clothes or any type of covering warmth.

sanitary landfill--- a land site where solid waste is deposited, compact, and covered with soil, designed for environmentally safe disposal of solid waste.

why is it important? it is important because it is a place where you recycle used materials to make fertilizer for plants and/or crops instead of just using regular soil and throwing away all the garbage.

An industry in which the final product weighs more comprises a greater volume than the inputs. It's significant because it minimizes transport costs.
